What can I expect in a session?

Individual healing sessions are held either in person or online via Zoom (video). You may be seated comfortably or laying down, so long as you are comfortable and able to remain alert. For online sessions, it is best that you are in a comfortable and quiet space.

At the start of the session, the practitioner will discuss any specific healing intentions you may have, and then commence with channeling reiki and universal life force, with sound and vibrational tools and techniques, with a guided meditation to centre and ground, etc. Each treatment is different and tailored to what you need at the given time.

During a session, the experience varies according to what arises from the client’s specific biofield. Some clients may feel warmth or tingling in parts of their bodies, others not at all. Other times, sessions can bring on emotional releases and revelations.

Integrated vibrational practices (reiki, holographic energy healing, vibrational and sound therapy, vocal toning, mantras, etc.) are powerful and tailor healing to where it is needed energetically at the time.

Requirements for online sound therapy practices

In order to provide the optimal sound and vibrational experience, great care has been taken to invest in and set up the practice space with the right equipment, including condenser mics, mixing boards, and audio interfaces.

For participants to gain the best experience, the following is recommended:

  • Over ear and wired headphones (no Bluetooth, turn off “echo cancellation”)
  • Strong internet connection with a plugged in ethernet cable
sound therapy equipment setup with sound bowls, mics, and cables on a carpet

For any questions or concerns, please contact Dorothy via email at NourishTheYin@gmail.com prior to the start of your session.
