About
Dorothy Karanja is a yoga teacher (RYT 500), sound therapy practitioner, holographic reiki practitioner and teacher, and intuitive guide. In her trauma-informed practice, she focuses on sharing holistic Eastern wellness practices, and including accessible and marginalized spaces.

From 2025-2026, Dorothy facilitated weekly movement and mindfulness classes for survivors of gender-based violence for the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre. Since 2013, she has taught regular yoga and meditation classes in Ottawa, including at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre and the City of Ottawa.
